Takashiro

No chest on record here · 8 landmarks both sources agree on · 25 mascots

Region facts below are second-hand, sourced inline. Never re-checked in game. Why that matters.

A region that takes longer than it looks

Rolling green hills and drift roads.

VGC describes Takashiro as deceptively large, and suggests approaching it as a scenic drive rather than a checklist run.

No chest has been set in Takashiro

Takashiro is the region most likely to make you drive past the thing you are looking for. VGC calls it deceptively large and recommends treating the collectible sweep as a scenic drive, which is a polite way of saying it takes a while. Its eight agreed landmarks are unusually varied for one region — a castle, a circuit, a tea farm, a waterfall temple, a hotel and three named driving roads — so a photo clue here has a decent chance of containing something identifiable.

Takashiro has hosted none of the six hunts we have logged. It carries more identifiable scenery than most regions, so a photo taken here would be readable more often than average. Six entries is not a sample, and we would rather say that than dress inference up as a pattern.

The archive has the 6 we do have.

Takashiro is 高城地域 in a Japanese client

高城地域は、ワインディング主体の山岳道路が広がる高地エリア。

Two sources, and Japanese search does not suggest it alongside 宝探し. 地域一覧.

Asked about Takashiro

How is the region name pronounced?

We do not know. The in-game Japanese is 高城地域; the reading could be Takashiro or Takagi and we have no source that states it. We are not going to invent furigana to look thorough.

Which barn find is here?

The Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R, behind the Pink Stamp, per Game8. Four regions share the Pink Stamp, so unlocking it opens more than this one car.

Has a Treasure Hunt used any of these landmarks?

Not in our record. Takashiro has hosted none of the six hunts we have logged. Two of those six did sit on named landmarks — Kinkaku-Ji and the Tokyo City Docks — so a region with eight of them is a plausible venue, but that is inference, not information.
