The one chest set in Ito
Ito is the awkward one for this site: a hunt definitely landed here in Series 2 Spring, two outlets wrote it up, and we still have no location recorded for it. It is also the largest landmark set on the map — twelve agreed, and mapmaster.io lists three more the Game8 list does not have. That combination is the worst case for a photo clue: plenty of distinctive scenery, spread far enough apart that recognising it still leaves you a long drive.

mapmaster.io lists three more that Game8 does not: Osaka Tunnels, Seaside Park and Oyashirazu Cliff Tunnels. That is the largest gap between the two lists anywhere on the map, so treat fifteen as the ceiling and twelve as the floor.
A long drive between anything
Coastal, with beaches and cliffside roads.
VGC needed more than one screenshot to cover Ito and warns that the collectibles are very spread out — its phrase is that you should be prepared for a long drive.
Gamereactor notes that Ito’s last race is the Drag Race over the airstrip in the middle of the region, which lines up with Ito Airfield appearing on both landmark lists.
The only region with two barn finds

Asked about Ito
Where was the Ito Treasure Hunt?
We do not have it. PC Gamer and Traxion both covered a Series 2 Spring hunt in Ito; we have the entry and the sources on its page, and the location field is empty because we have not extracted a location we would stand behind.
Why does this region have two barn finds when others have one?
Game8 lists a Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 and a Toyota 2000GT here, both behind the Green Stamp. Ito is the only region in that list with two. Seven of Game8’s barn find entries name no region at all, so the real distribution may be flatter than it looks.
Is Ito the coastal region or is Nangan?
Both are coastal. The Japanese description puts Ito on the east side of the map with bay and peninsula, and Nangan on the southern coast with beaches and a small fishing town. Ito is much the larger of the two.
